I was a beautiful day

One of the treats of our Edinburgh trip was a night out at the theatre - having scoured the listings I came across I was a beautiful day at the Traverse. This particular week in November seems to be a bit of a dark time in terms of theatre - with the autumn season giving way to Christmas the previous week would have given us all sorts of choices from Shakespeare to contemporary dance - but beggars can't be choosers and this looked like it might be interesting. read more...

Biomechanics

As our post-valentines day treat we went to see Talia Theatre's production of The Life of Moliere at the Octagon on Wednesday night. We were really not sure what to expect - for starters it was being shown in the little Bill Naughton Theatre which was, erm, cosy and shoe-box shaped and for seconds the set involved a rather cheap looking trolley with bits hanging off it. read more...
