Our venture to Xtabi up towards the west end was good, except we that we clean forgot that we had spent up on jetskis that afternoon, so having starters meant we didn't have enough left to pay the bill - sometimes travelling with the parents definitely has fringe benefits. Otherwise Laurel would have been doing the washing up. The food was adequate but not startling, perhaps because that end of town is hoping for the custom of the package tourist and probably doesn't want to go out on limb. Xtabi itself was well worth a visit in any case due to the built in recreation in the form of caves.

Again you'd have got this anywhere but the sky was putting on a good show for us when we went with beautiful clear blueness and stars followed by some rather spectacular lightening.
