The compulsory tourist trap of Negril is the world famous Rick's Cafe. It was given the honour of being declared the 6th best bar in the world or some such. The food there was reasonable, not as pricey as it might be but really was nothing special. The chef destroyed a lovely piece of tuna by overcooking it and the menu was quite limited to the extent that when we kind of accidently ended up there for a second evening and there was no shrimp availble, there wasn't much else to choose from. Rick's is obviously more about the sunset (which was exactly the same as the sun all the rest of the way down the beach but no-one seemed to notice) the reggae band designed to charm the ladies of Essex and the diving boys who jump from stupid heights into the water in exchange for lots and lots of tips. Go once on a clear evening - not three times.
