The very observant of you may have noted that there have been various quiet little improvements on Samscam of recent weeks. Importantly the Atom 1.0 and RSS 2.0 feeds have both been updated to meet current versions of their respective standards. A robot-trap from the world of MCLD has also been accommodated which should filter out a few of the non-human contributors.
Another healthy side-effect is that categories are reflected in the feeds giving the blog a way into the Technorati blog directory tags system - next it needs multiple category support to make it really worthwhile. Metadata metadata metadata!
I think that $0.00 is a load of tripe though - just because Technorati doesn't really know about us yet doesn't mean that it's all worthless... conversely the likes of Pippa score really well.
Administration and configurational aspects are also getting better (though I've got issues with the differences between PHP 4 and 5 session handling to resolve at some point) and there are some greatly improved archives in the works (AJAX anyone?). Further down the list I may create an XML-RPC pingger for trackbacks and forcing updates on Technorati. Once I've rolled all this gubbins into a publicly accessible form, SamXom will catch up with the big boys. It may still take a while mind :)
