And as promised, here is a brief review of Eric's Exhibition:
It was a sunny and bright day up at the top of Park Hill on Sunday, though big rainclouds were looming on the horizon. "Let's look at the exhibition and then go for a little walk along the canal" was my main thought but we ended up getting so distracted by the pictures and sitting and yabbering to Eric and his friend (name forgotten - sorry - please add to the comments) about life, art, modernism, and the highs and lows of social housing that by the time we finished it wasn't really worth going for a walk by the canal. I particularly enjoyed the vibrancy and saturation levels of the photos, all taken with a beautiful medium-format Hasselblad:

The sharp clarity makes a change from the grim and grimy pictures which one often sees of modernist architecture and which I myself have been tempted into taking in such environments - and in many ways exposes the contradiction of our predicament up in the sky.
"It should be so good, and it almost is"
The exhibition continues this weekend - May 8th and 9th.
